Rainbow Riders
What we do
Rainbow Riders is a registered non profit organisation that offers equi and hippotherapy to special needs children and adults, as well as children with emotional and behavioural problems.
Situated on the George airport road, they assist around 300 children each month. Carpe Diem School, Optima Day Care Centre and Bethesda Hospice send groups of children for equitherapy each week. The Rainbow Riders also see children who have been referred by a physio, speech or occupational therapists and teachers are beginning to recognise the benefit of equitherapy for children who have learning problems.
They also offer riding lessons to beginners and specialise in children who are nervous or who have had a bad riding experience.
